Game Changer
The Game Changer programme is using the positive influence of Gaelic Games to tackle one of the more serious issues facing our society today - gender-based violence. Atrocities such as the murders of Aisling Murphy and Natalie McNally have driven home the prevalence of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence for many people in Ireland. They have also triggered an outpouring of solidarity and action from within the Gaelic Games family. This is why the GAA, LGFA and Camogie have partnered with Ruhama and White Ribbon Ireland to provide everyone with the tools and knowledge they need to challenge harmful attitudes, norms and behaviours, such as catcalling, sexual harassment, victim-blaming, etc. Together we can build safer, more inclusive clubs and communities where everyone can live a life free from gender-based violence.
