ICCG Award This is the course page for the new Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games coaching award which is common to all Associations in the Gaelic Games family. This is a face-to-face course delivered over 1 day or several shorter sessions. It is important to note that to be eligible to coach, you must have completed ALL the following (there are no exceptions): Garda vetting/Access NI vetting GAA Child Safeguarding 1 The Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games as a minimum.

ICGG Course Ardara Feb 2024

The ICGG Award course has been designed to support new coaches develop a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, competencies, and values for coaching the child, youth or adult playing population. The Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games award is structured around three key elements: 1. The Coach | ‘Being a Coach’, ‘How to Coach’, and ‘Preparation for Planning’. 2. The Player | ‘Who are you coaching?’. Whether they are child, youth or adult players, male or female and address the need to be inclusive. 3. The Game | a focus on movement for Gaelic games, skill development and games.

An Award Hurling & Football Course will take place in Bunclody GAA Club over 8 weeks, from February 13th to April 2nd. Coaches must attended all sessions to be accredited.

An Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games will take place at St. Annes GAA Club . The course will run for 3 consecutive weeks. Dates are: Thursday the 8th, 15th and 22nd February. Starting each night at 7.00 p.m.
