Course Duration:

90 mins
Date and Time: June 8th 7:30-9pm Venue: Clonkill GAA Club, N91 HX78. A Nursery is the best way to introduce children aged 4–6 years to Gaelic games in a fun, safe and engaging environment. The programme is specifically designed for coaches who will be delivering nursery sessions within their club, and it places enjoyment, inclusion and positive early experiences at the heart of everything we do. The Nursery Programme is all about fun, being actively involved in exciting, age-appropriate activities, and supporting the development of children’s movement and motor skills. Through play-based activities, children are encouraged to run, jump, throw, catch, balance and strike — developing the Fundamental Movement Skills that act as the building blocks for future skill development in our games. Completing this course (in conjunction with Garda Vetting/Access NI clearance and completion of a Safeguarding 1 workshop) allows a participant to become an assistant coach at their club nursery. The ICGG course must be attended by anyone who wants to coach outside of the nursery section.
