Description: This module is an introduction to effective volunteer management in Clubs. While aimed specifically at the key roles within a Club, such as Chairperson or Secretary, it provides useful guidance and information to any active volunteer, whether established in a role for some time or just taking on a new one. Throughout the course of the module, participants will explore the key components of managing volunteers in their clubs including:
- Making your Club a place that people want to volunteer with
- Matching the skills and resources available with what the Club needs
- Organising your volunteers so they can achieve the Clubs goals - right from role takeover to handover
- Keeping volunteers engaged and motivated
- Handling difficult situations relating to volunteers
