ICCG Award
This is the course page for the new Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games coaching award which is common to all Associations in the Gaelic Games family. This is a face-to-face course delivered over 1 day or several shorter sessions.
It is important to note that to be eligible to coach, you must have completed ALL the following (there are no exceptions):
- Garda vetting/Access NI vetting
- GAA Child Safeguarding 1
- The Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games as a minimum.
The Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games (ICGG) is the new entry level course that can be run for coaches from across the Gaelic Games Family: GAA, Camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football. Once you complete this course you will be eligible to coach in all the above codes. The course is the first Coaching Course on the GAA Coach Education Pathway. No prior coaching experience is required.
Course Participation
The course is aimed at beginner coaches and will enable participants to assist a coach in the organisation of activities to develop Hurling, Camogie or Ladies Football & Gaelic football.
