GAA Green Club Programme - Phase 2 Club Milestones

Clubs in Phase 2 of the GAA Green Club Programme are required to complete the following Milestones to successfully. Progress through the Milestones is logged on the GAA Green Club Portal at https://greenclubs.gaa.ie/. Access to the portal will be provided in May.

Applications for Phase 2 are closed. Plase 2 will run through 2023 and 2024

All Clubs in Phase 2 must have formal approval through their Club Executive

Appoint a Green Club Team Leader & Project Team. (Each club must have at least 2 team members)

All team members must receive Green Club Programme Training. ​Webinar: Orientation Webinar - The Orientation webinar linked below should should be reviewed by all members that did not attend an orientation event.

Map club & community links, strengths and gaps, with the objective of identifying current and prospective partners and projects within the club and in the wider community as well as choosing priority actions areas for the club Green Team. Phase 2 Green Clubs are required to implement a minimum of 2 Actions (If implementing 2 Actions each action must come from a different priority (theamtic) area.

Agree Priority Action areas for your Green Team and complete relevant audits. Use the Green Club Toolkit to support your selection.

GAA Green Club Webinar Funding Information and Audit & Action Planning

Clubs must host a launch to include adoption of a Green Club Charter, and promote participation through Club media channels.

Clubs must review and report on the implementation of activities

Clubs who are successful will be presented with a GAA Green Club Plaque at an awards ceremony in Croke Park in Autumn 2024.
