Welcome to Active Learning
Active Learning is a new initiative designed to support continuous learning for coaches in the Gaelic Games. It amounts to coaches completing two short online courses per year.
Each year, a new module will be added to these courses to keep coaches' knowledge up to date with the latest coaching practices in Gaelic Games. Once completed, coaches will earn the Active Learning badges.
The Active Learning modules for 2026 are:

- Active Learning 2 - What is a Coaching Philosophy?
Active Learning Information
- Since coaching practices in Gaelic Games evolve every year, Active Learning is designed to help coaches stay up to date.
- Active Learning recognises coaches’ commitment to continuous learning within the Gaelic Games.
Each year, coaches have the opportunity to complete new modules in Active Learning 1 and Active Learning 2. Upon completion, the courses will be marked as complete, and coaches will earn the Active Learning badges. At the start of each new year, a fresh module will be available. Completing it renews the badge.

- Go to the Active Learning 1 and Active Learning 2 courses below.
- Complete the current year’s module in each course.
- Return each year to renew your Active Learning badge.
